Sing a New Song Unto the Lord!
We worship at 10:00am following the tradition of the
Anglican Communion.
Our sevice is divided into two main parts:
1. The Liturgy of the Word. Each
week we read four passages from
Scripture following the Common
Lectionary. Generally there are two
passages from the Hebrew
Scriptures and two readings from the
New Testament. This year we
are reading from the Gospel of Luke.
2. The Great Thanksgiving. During this time we remember the
Lord's Supper and we eat the bread of life and drink from the cup
of salvation. Eucharist is the main service of the Episcopal Church.
At times our Sunday worship centers on Morning Prayer.
One of the ancient Monastic prayers of the hours. On the first Sunday
of the month, beginning in October, we will celebrate Even Song,
another of the prayers of hours. These services are filled with Scripture
and Music.
FELLOWSHIP is a huge part of our life together. Good coffee
and refreshments provided by different parish members welcome us to
stay for awhile and join in good conversation. From here we in peace
depart........"to go forth to Love and Serve our God."
Service is our
way of living what we have celebrated.
